2026 North Island Rowing Championships - Update
After substantive review and consultation, it has been decided that racing will proceed this coming weekend.

Possible weather impacts
Please note that there is a high likelihood that racing will be disrupted by the weather. In particular, Saturday 24th January is forecast to have westerly winds of 25-35kph with gusts of 50kph.
Be aware that medals may have to be awarded on best times from heats and prelims, if we need to cancel finals. Make sure all your crews know that they need to be racing for times in all their events to make sure they are in best contention for medals.

Scheduling
We plan to start racing at 7:30am on all days to maximise racing time during better forecast weather conditions. See the current DRAFT schedule. Further updates will be communicated regarding any changes to the regatta schedule and format - expect changes!
